About Mrs. Cannon

Hi! I'm Chelsie Cannon and as a Canton ISD alumni I am so excited that I have the privilege to teach Kindergarten again this year. It means so much to me to be able to give back to the community that helped shape me into who I am.

Teaching has been a dream of mine since I was in kindergarten! I love creating a classroom where curiosity, kindness, and confidence can grow every day. Watching my students learn and grow is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

When I am not in my classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four amazing children. Our daughter,Claire, is a teacher/coach in Temple, our oldest son, Logan, is in his 3rd year of college in Bryan, Ethan is a senior at the High school (and my momma heart is not ready!), and our caboose, Crue is a seventh grader and starting school sports this year. 

We also enjoy life on our family farm where we are surrounded by a variety of animals, including cows and peacocks! Being involved in our community and cheering on my kids and all of their friends is one of my favorite ways to spend my free time. 

I am grateful to be part of the Canton Elementary family and look forward to inspiring a lifelong love of learning in my students.
